•         The flapping of the temple flag always takes place opposite to the direction of air.
•       The Sudarshan Charka (at top of Temple) can be easily seen any part of Puri and that that too facing you.
•        Scientifically, during day-time, air flows from sea to land & land to see during the night. But in Puri it’s totally the opposite that is something really fascinating
•       While in Puri, you will never notice a single bird or planes flying above the Jagannath Temple.

•         The most amazing thing that most visitors are unaware of is the fact that the quantity of Mahaprasad (Abhada) cooked at the temple remains the same each year, still it feed lakhs of devotees and never gets wasted.
•      Within the temple kitchen, which is considered the largest temple kitchen in the world, 7 pots placed atop each other are used to cook the Mahaprasad and that too using firewood. During the cooking process, the pot at the top gets cooked first followed by the bottom one.
